REPORTING A REPAIR

To report a repair during office hours please contact us by:

  • Telephone us on 01355 227751 (press option 2 for repairs/maintenance)
  • Report a routine or non-emergency repair through the EKHA APP
  • Email us at [email protected] to report a routine or other non-emergency repair
  • Make an appointment to visit or write to us at our office at 2 Old Coach Road, East Kilbride, G74 4DP
  • Complete a website form to report a routine or other non-emergency repair

In reporting a repair, please provide as much information as possible. This will help us to speed up our response and your repair. Also please be aware that if you are reporting a repair outside our normal working hours, your repair will not receive attention until our next working day. If, during our business hours, you have an emergency repair to report, please do not email or use the online form, you should contact us directly by telephone. If you are reporting an emergency repair outwith our business hours, please follow the instructions on our answerphone message or see below at ‘out of hours emergency service’

When you report a repair, it will be categorised into one of the following:

  • Emergency – to be made safe/completed within 4 hours of reporting
  • Urgent – to be completed within 3 working days
  • Routine – Usually within 10 working days
  • Right to Repair – These can vary between 24 hours and 7 days, depending on the severity of the repair required.

If you have requested so, we will send a text with the details of the works required and who will carry out these works. If an appointment has been made at the time of
reporting, this will also be confirmed. We will also tell you the last working day that the repair must be carried out by.

If you or anyone in your home smokes, under the Government’s no smoking laws, you must not smoke near our staff or contractors. Please do not smoke (or vape) one hour before workers arrive and during the period of the visit. Please co-operate with us on this matter, to help protect the health of our employees and contractors.

Our Maintenance Section may wish to carry out a check on the works completed. A
random selection of jobs is visited each week. Our staff will postcard you if there is no access at the time of the visit. Please contact our office if this happens and re-arrange a suitable date.
