Scottish Housing Regulator
The role of the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) is to protect the interests of tenants and other people who use the services of social landlords. The Scottish Government’s ‘Scottish Social Housing Charter’ and the SHR’s ‘Regulation of Social Housing in Scotland (Framework, revised April 2024) documents set out the standards and outcomes that landlords should achieve. Both of these can be downloaded below, along with a document ‘about the Scottish Housing Regulator’ which includes links that help explain the role of the SHR.
EKHA has to send information to the SHR annually and our reports/outcomes from this are listed here (menu, to the right – Landlord/ARC reports, Assurance Statements and Engagement Plan).
You can also raise a serious concern about EKHA with the SHR – this should not be confused with raising an individual service complaint with EKHA – and an information leaflet about raising a serious concern with the SHR can be found below.
